Experience Japanese culture at a temple in Nara, which has been in existence for over 1,000 years. Calligraphy and Mokugyo prayer (wooden fish-shaped drum) with Matcha tea.

Experience Japanese culture and the heart of Buddha at the historic temple Kichidenji Temple.
There is an English speaking guide at the temple for you.

※Once you exit the 2nd floor ticket gate, take the escalator or elevator on the north side of the building to the 1st floor outside. Staff will be waiting for you.
※The pick-up car will leave 10 minutes after the meeting time.

Details of the experience

In the calligraphy experience, you can write one character of your choice on a fan and take it home. A memorable experience for your trip to Japan.
After a short break with Matcha tea and sweets, experience a precious Mokugyo (wooden fish-shaped drum) prayer in the main hall of the temple, which houses an important cultural asset, the statue of Amida Nyorai.
You can practise on hanshi papers before writing on a fan. So please don't worry even if you haven't tried caligraphy before.
Please be sure to be at the meeting place on time.
