Kichidenji Temple
Tourist attractions
The Emperor Tenji founded this temple, and the Buddhist monk Genshin, also known as Eshin Sozu, opened it in the late 10th century. It is believed that if you pray to its most sacred image, a statue of Amida Nyorai (Amitabha Tathagata), you can ascend to the Pure Land without protracted suffering. You can also experience making a goshuin notebook (for temple seals and inscriptions). For more information.
