Kudaraji Temple

Tourist attractions

It is said to be the late site of the Baekje Grand Temple, which succeeded the Kumagorishoja built by Prince Shotoku.
Baekje-dai-ji was a government temple founded in the first half of the 7th century, and after being relocated and renamed again, it was moved to Heijo-kyo and became Daian-ji, one of the seven great temples of the southern capital.
Within the precincts of the temple are the main hall, called Taishokukan, and the three-story pagoda (Important Cultural Property), which is said to have been relocated from Danzan Shrine.
